Privacy Policy

The Constitution of the Republic of Korea guarantees fundamental rights such as the secrecy and freedom of private life and the secrecy of communications. Therefore, covert surveillance of personal information and private life through wiretapping, interception, or eavesdropping is, in principle, illegal. However, due to widespread illegal wiretapping and leakage of communications information in our society, serious violations of human rights have occurred and the free formation of everyday life for individuals has been threatened.
In order to eliminate, at the source, any potential infringement of these fundamental rights, and to thoroughly protect the privacy of Barun Certification members and ensure freedom of communication in an information society, we state our Privacy Policy as follows. The Barun Certification Privacy Policy may be changed in accordance with amendments to government laws and guidelines and changes to Barun Certification policies. Please check it regularly whenever you visit the Barun Certification site.

1. Purpose and Use of Collected Personal Information

The purpose of collecting members’ personal information is to provide you with the most optimized, customized services through the Barun Certification site. Barun Certification provides various contents and services, both free of charge and paid. Based on the personal information you provide, we can selectively provide more useful information to you.
Barun Certification displays advertisements in order to provide various services. Even in such cases, based on your personal information, we can selectively deliver advertisements that have greater value as useful information.

2. Items of Personal Information Collected and Methods of Collection

Barun Certification collects the most essential personal information when you first sign up for membership in order to provide services. The information collected at sign-up includes 아이디, 별명, 패스워드, 성명, 휴대전화, 기업명, 보유 인증명, 담당 컨설턴트명, e-mail, 주소, etc.
In addition, we may request additional information to provide specific services.
We may request entry of a mobile phone number for real-name verification and other additional information necessary for providing services. We may also request personal information for the purpose of group statistical analysis in surveys or events, or for sending prizes. Even in such cases, we inform you that the information you enter will not be used for any purpose other than providing the relevant service or the purpose disclosed to you in advance.

3. Retention and Disposal of Personal Information

While you receive services provided by Barun Certification as a member of Barun Certification, your personal information will continue to be retained by Barun Certification and used to provide services. However, if a member requests deletion of their ID or cancellation of membership in accordance with the procedures described in “7. Viewing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Personal Information,” or if the purpose for which personal information was collected and disclosed to you in advance has been achieved, the collected personal information will be permanently deleted from the hard disk by an unrecoverable method, and will be processed so that it cannot be viewed or used for any purpose.

4. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information

In principle, we do not disclose Barun Certification members’ personal information to other individuals, companies, or institutions. However, exceptions may apply if the member has consented to disclosure, or if there is sufficient basis to determine that disclosure is necessary to take legal action against a person who violates the Barun Certification Terms of Service, or a person who causes legal harm to others or acts against public order and morals by using Barun Certification services.
Barun Certification may share members’ personal information with business partners in order to provide better services. In such cases, prior to collecting or providing information, we will inform you who the business partner is, what information is needed and why, and until when and how it will be protected/managed, and we will obtain your consent through due procedures. If you do not consent, we will not collect additional information or share it with business partners.
Even when placing and sending advertisements to groups based on gender, age, or other specific conditions (e.g., women in their 20s), your personal information is not provided to the individual or organization requesting the advertisement. In cases where information is needed for statistical processing, academic research, or market research, it will be provided only in a form that cannot identify any specific individual.

5. Operation and Use of Cookies

To provide personalized and customized services to each member, Barun Certification uses “cookies” that store and retrieve your information from time to time. Cookies are small data packets sent by the server used to operate a website to a user’s browser, and they are stored on your computer’s hard disk.
After you access Barun Certification and log in to use personalized or customized services, you must allow cookies. Barun Certification uses cookies to find information about your ID in order to provide services that are more suitable and useful to you.
By assigning a unique cookie to the browser of users accessing Barun Certification, we can also understand the scale of users such as usage frequency and total number of users (members and non-members). In addition, Barun Certification Shopping uses cookie information for authentication when purchasing products and to assist product purchases, and cookies are also used to verify your participation history in events or surveys.

6. Technical/Institutional Measures for Protecting Personal Information

Your personal information is protected by your password. Only you can know the password for your account, and personal information can be checked and changed only by the person who knows the password. Therefore, you must never disclose your password to anyone. Also, after finishing your work, it is advisable to log out and close your web browser. This procedure is especially necessary when you share a computer with others or use it in a public place in order to prevent your personal information from being exposed to others.
Barun Certification takes measures to prevent damage caused by computer viruses by using antivirus programs. Antivirus programs are updated regularly, and when an unexpected virus appears, we provide the antivirus update immediately to prevent personal information from being damaged.
To prevent leakage of members’ personal information due to hacking, we use devices that block intrusion from outside to prevent external attacks and hacking, and we install intrusion detection systems on each server to monitor intrusions 24 hours a day. We also back up systems and data to prepare for any potential damage to members’ personal information.
Barun Certification limits the number of employees who handle personal information to the minimum, emphasizes compliance with this policy through frequent training, and verifies implementation and compliance through audits. If any issues are found, corrective actions are taken immediately.

7. Viewing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Personal Information

You may view or correct your registered personal information at any time, and you may request deletion of your ID.
If you have any complaints or opinions regarding personal information, please send your 의견 to the personal information manager by e-mail (help@Barun Certification.co.kr). We will take action immediately upon receipt and notify you of the result.

8. Protection of Children’s Personal Information

Children under the age of 14 should not send information about themselves carelessly to others, and must obtain their parents’ permission before sending it.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account password. Barun Certification will never ask you for your password by e-mail or any other method, so do not disclose your password under any circumstances. While logged on, please take special care to prevent leakage of personal information to others around you.
